An educational and entertaining read

I Needed a Neighbor was an emotional but enjoyable quick read following several characters and how they came together. The subject matter is intense for young ones compared to most Patricia St John's works (war and it's aftermath), but should be fine for teens or most tweens, and obviously adults, as it is not gruesome or overly detailed.
